My background is… in efficiency engineering with an emphasis in software implementation, process improvement, project management, and identifying and improving cost inefficiencies. I’m a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia with an Undergraduate Degree in Industrial Engineering and Masters Degree in Business Administration. Growing up I worked in many restaurants and most recently I was the Plant Manager at Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatier.
I find inspiration in.. food and beverage. I love cooking for my family, exploring new and interesting flavors, creating new cocktails [you may find some of my recipes at restaurants around town!], and exploring how pairing the right food with the right wine can completely change the flavor profile. The Kate + Company team loves my carnitas and no, I’m not sharing the secret recipe.
Best vacation I ever took… a trip to Italy in 2015. While I enjoyed exploring major cities like Rome and Florence for the best part it’s hard to pick between relaxing in Tuscany and lounging seaside in Positano.
Currently reading… Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir.
When I’m hosting… Let’s be clear, usually Kate’s hosting because I’m certainly not the planner in our family. But when we host at our home usually I’m cooking and Kate’s creating some new tabletop look in our dining room.
